Kicking my heels and dancing!
Published on April 26, 2008 By foreverserenity In Diet

4.2lbs lost this week!  I didn't quite hit the 20lbs I had set for myself by my birthday, but boy did I get within range!  16.8lbs total weight loss since I began my fitness goal on January 7th!  9 on my own and the rest since joining Weight Watchers!

I've become more dedicated and am going steadily on that road to wellness!

This week my little one and I went on a trial hike with one of my new friends from weight watchers.  It was great and we had a lot of fun!  I didn't realize it would be like being transported in a different world!  One where only the birds, crickets, frogs, flowers and trees existed!  The silence from the real world was deafening!  What seemed like such an ordinary easy hike, ended up giving us a good workout and I couldn't believe my baby kept up with us, she's such a trooper!

It has been a long road. There have been times of hopelessness, wanting to throw in the towel, but my stubbornness and determination to make changes in my life this year is pulling me through!

I can't tell you the highs and lows I've experienced this year so far, but with dedication, faith and love of self and family, I will dance and sing and enjoy life's moments and continue to count my blessings!

I hope you don't give up on your goals or dreams.  That whatever ails you will soon be washed away.  That these trying times that so many are experiencing will be better in the long run!

Congrats Donna!    Gee, I DO know how hard it is to stay focused and keep them eyes on the prize. Sometimes you just wanna say "screw this" and call it quits but we both know what lies at the end of that road -that the end is worse than the beginning.

Seems lately I've been feeling "weaker" for lack of a better word. I dunno, tired. But I keep going thinking that maybe this is a "wall" I gotta punch through before things get better. I've been hitting the gym and doing some resistance stuff (light weighs but LOTS of reps) and running everyday. THis morning I did 2 miles in 17 minutes! And hey! I GOT THE BIGINNINGS OF A SIX-PACK NOW!!!!!! You can see it if you scrunch your eyes just so, lol.

Hang in there Donna! Remember, I'm with you in spirit.

...oh yeah, for the very first time in my life I was told the other day that I probably wasn't eating ENOUGH! WOW! Now THAT'S a first! (hey, maybe that explains my weak feelings? duh...   )

Oh yeah, upside down responses now I would have fixed that! Because of the way the quote feature is!lol!  If I didn't have to run out side now I would have fixed that!   I just came back from the pool, and this morning I did a hike with my daughter!

Hang in there Donna! Remember, I'm with you in spirit.

Ditto on that Roy!  XXXX

Uhuh....I've been really very hungry lately too. It's like I'm not eating enough.  But I don't starve, I just don't eat high fat stuff as much as I used to.  I vary my intake and working out is so good!

My hero!

That's good to keep doing different things!  I find that now that I'm taking vitamins and fish oil tablets my energy is better.

I know the feeling!  It's so hard!

Congrats Donna!

Thx Roy!

Yes, congratulations to you, Donna.  You must be so pleased with yourself.

I too have started exercising regularly and am feeling heaps better for it too.  But I think the best thing I've done for my health is give up cigarettes.  I feel great for having done this.

Good luck with your continued exercising.
