Life as I Know It; Family; Lifestyle; and Healthy Living!

You know, I'm really sick of this thing!  Firstly, why are we still doing it?  Yea, yea, saving energy, blah, blah...but I'm all for saving energy!   Though I can't stand it when the mornings are so dark for the kids going out to school and having to get your body-clock reset and adjust itself!

The first Monday at work after a time change is usually one of those days that drags on, or speeds up, depending on how your day is going!

I do like the fact that the daylight and evening hours are coming in quite naturally now.  The mornings are a lot lighter, and the evenings are becoming lighter much longer now that Spring is around the corner. Can't it be left alone?!

Yes, it is only one hour, and we usually adjust by the end of the first week....sure!    At any rate, don't forget to turn your clock ahead at 2am.  I usually do it before I go to bed on the Saturday night, if I don't stay up til 2am.

I'm with you Donna. I hate all the changing back and forth. I'd rather that we'd just pick one way or the other and stick with it. Bleh!

Now I gotta figure out how to change the time on my watch again! Gah!

on Mar 07, 2009

I'm with you.

Where the heck did I put that sundial?

The clock in my car is always the last one that I remember to change.  I forget how many clocks I have until it comes time to change them all!  At least the computer and cell phone take car of themselves and my one new alarm clock audomatically changes once you set the time zone.  That leaves the microwave, oven, two other alarm clocks, pedometer and car.

I don't mind gaining an hour as much as losing one.  It really screws with the baby's sleep.  I am looking forward to more light in the mornings though!

I thought it was more dark in the morning?  Hmmm.. I'll find out how it is here on Monday cause I sleep in on Sundays!

I hear ya guys, my hubby hates changing his watches over. I'm responsible for all the clocks!

I've read a number of books on the subject.  There have been no studies that indicate that there are any savings.  What I founde most interesting is that the lobbyists for continued and MORE daylight saving time are retailers.  People shop more in the evenings when it's light. And the biggist retailers?  Outdoor entertainment companies like BBQ grills and such.

You can thank  them.

Move to Arizona. . .no problems with confusing time changes.

It will be for a while yet I'm sure.  Pretty soon though it will be lighter in the morning and stay light longer.  I guess what I was getting at is I can't wait for Summer

I am all for longer days, but the losiing one hour always messes with my head for a little while. I adjust to the extra hour of sleep in the fall, but losing an hour..blah...It takes about a week to get used to.

It's a liberal plot.

Sleep is precious to me....because I don't get enough of it.   I hate to lose that hour of rest.

All my clocks, except for two, get a signal every morning from the atomic clock in Colorado and update themselves. Even my watch. That takes some of the chore out of it.

People shop more in the evenings when it's light.

When I lived in NY this was definitely true because after the long winter months, people just wanted to see the sunlight and the lighter days to really have fun!

I would have to visit first...but you do have lots of sunshine,....

Me too!  The beach is calling me!

That's all I'm saying too!

Hmmm, could be Nader's fault?! [look out for Pony Man's wrath.. ]

You need all the rest darling, to handle your little and big ones!

Seriously?!  I'm gullible so go easy on the misinformation!

It's always those retail people!  They want to rule the world!
