My baby's surgery
Published on June 15, 2005 By foreverserenity In Surgery
So tomorrow is my daughter's surgery. It's dental surgery for those who haven't kept up with my blogs. Finally she will get some relief from feeling uncomfortable and taking antibiotics. They're not sure how long it will be but possibly an hour. Hopefully no longer.

I really don't like the fact that she will be put to sleep but I guess it's for the best. Less screaming and all that. And man is she a fighter! That girl is so strong sometimes I wonder where she gets her strength from!

Anyway, I'm taking the rest of the week off after today to be with her so I won't be around til next week. I'll let you know how the surger went.

Thank you guys for the moral support and good wishes you've left on my previous blogs about this. I really, really appreciate that. And that day when I really felt like a really bad mom and the lowest person on the earth, you guys really made my day and I never told you that.

You know who you are, thanks for being there for me! Big smooches and hugs!

WHen it is surgery on your child, it is never minor.  Dont listen to what the doctor says.  I have not found it helpful, just worrisome.

I hope the surgery doesn't prove to be too much of a scary experience and it all goes well. My good wishes are with you.

My good wishes are with you.

Thank you Maso.

UPDATE:

The surgery went fine. It was one and a half hours. We got to the hospital at 10am and left at 7:30pm. My poor baby couldn't eat anything and hadn't eat anything all day, since 12pm the night before as is normal for surgery. It was hard explaining to her that she couldn't eat anything. Anyway, she's adjusting to her "new" mouth and taking "baby" bites again. But she's eating and keeping it down. We have a follow up visit next week to make sure all is ok. So far so good, knock on wood as the saying goes!

Thanks again for all the well wishes!
