Another badass TS

Yep, that time of the year again. No work tomorrow, no schools tomorrow because of the tropical storm that's on our horizon. Supposed to pass over us or near enough to us to stop all activities for a day.

It was a busy evening of people going about the business of making sure their supplies are updated, and they have enough to wait out the storm if necessary.

I certainly hope that won't become a reality. For now, we're all home tomorrow. Except hubby whose job requires him to be out there when things like this happens. I'll be holding down the forth and hopefully my two youngest won't be at each others throat.

Hopefully I'll get somethings done, but knowing how antsy I'll be, probably not. No wonder I was a nervous wreck most of the day today! Yeah, and talking even more than usual! Have you seen how much I've written today?!

Calm and tranquility imagined. Serenity now, serenity now.

Were kids that age ever excited about going back to school after an (albiet abrupt and possibly hazardous) holiday? Methinks . . . nope.

Glad to hear that you and your family are safe.

It's funny how kids look at things so different. When I was 8 years old my family and I went out of town for the 4th of July. While we were gone the small town we lived in got hit by terrible storms and flooded. When we got back the National Guard was there helping people. They handed out food and water, and we ended up staying with family members in another town. To me, I thought it was the coolest thing seeing all the army trucks, and getting to spend some time with my cousins.
I was such a fool. Thankfully our house wasn't damage.

No, not a fool, you were just being a normal child; nothing wrong with that. Good thing the house wasn't damaged.

Now ole Ernie is headed here, and we are just hoping it is not another Gastone! Seems you took a lot of its punch out of it, but it is regaining it fast now. If you see gurgling coming from our direction tomorrow, you know we are treading water!
