For you I am praying
I am praying for you

I will call upon the Lord
Who is worthy to be praised
So shall I be saved from mine enemies
The Lord liveth and blessed be the rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted

***********************************

Father God, we call upon your name
We pray for our friend Elie who needs you right now
We pray for his healing

Give him strength Lord, be with him in this, his time of need, and send your angels to comfort him, to gather around him, to heal him

Father, we ask that which ails him, leave his body, cleanse him O Lord
Set him free from the illness that plagues him, for you shall give him ever lasting life

O Father we ask that you bless his family, his wife Colleen, his children, his family members, they need you right now

If it be thy will O Lord, cleanse him of every sin and set him free

We thank you Lord and praise your holy name

Thank you Jesus, thank you Lord

Thy will be done

Amen

I sincerely hope posting this doesn't offend anyone. While this is not an apology for praying, I know we each have our individual ways. Ultimately, we all have the same purpose as we hope for Elie's recovery.

and even though Elie is a jew, I know he won't mind you invoking the name of Jesus, cus he's kinda like me in that way...pray to whatever God you believe in, it's all good.

Yes, I know and thought about that as I wrote the prayer....and you're right,I don't think he will mind.

Amen. That was a beautiful prayer, Serenity.

Here is a Jewish Prayer for the sick that I found called "Mi Sheberakh" if anyone is interested in reading about it and praying it.
