Life as I Know It; Family; Lifestyle; and Healthy Living!
Note to reader, these are observations, and my opinions. There are no finger pointing!

Blogging is quite an interesting thing to do isn't it? We all do it and we are here because it is a past time we do enjoy. For some people, due to health issues or otherwise, blogging is sometimes the only interaction they might have with other folks on a daily basis. Anyone on a blog site get to know each other, their idiosyncrasies, style, likes, dislikes, etc., stuff happens, shit happens, etc., etc., in essence we become quite an eclectic group!

It is wonderful to have a thought or an idea and 'run' it by someone, hear their views; discuss your opinions and so on. There will be like minds that agree and even those who disagree with each other, as will happen because this is what blogging is all about.

What I've noticed from time to time though is something that gives me much food for thought, so to speak. When a topic or discussion is 'thrown out there' you expect an avid discussion with lots of interests if there are any, or the blog topic dies a silent death. I've noticed the seemingly pseudo intellectual attitudes that is displayed with a lot of pride and much enjoyment at the reader and what ensues is sometimes a put down of anyone who doesn't meet the standard(s) of the writer's intellectualism. In other words, the reader may just be too dumb to offer a good enough comment to satisfy the writer's whims.

It makes me wonder if this person thinks too much or are they just so devoid of emotions that they don't realise how they come off to anyone who just happens to click on an article that is seemingly interesting? It doesn't really matter to them because they really don't care what anyone thinks because they are too far above the lay reader who probably hasn't been as educated as them and so they can bandy words and thoughts at will no matter the circumstance or the outcome. It is unimportant to the writer because perhaps the opinion of anyone who deems to venture forth into their world is subjected to almost a tongue-lashing of thoughts and colloquialism that makes you go "uh?"

When did blogging get to this stage? There's a lot of yawning out there it seems. People are bored and they have fun at other people's expense. They don't seem to care whether or not anyone even respond, it's their world and you're just a voyeur who might be allowed in and treated with, do I dare say kindness, if you happen to be of their calibre? Or you are treated to one of those fits of random irrationalism that makes you wished you hadn't dared to enter into the 'big people's' world!

Blogging is as bloggers do I wrote recently, and that's very true! It's your blog, it's my blog, we can do and say whatever the heck we want and there's nothing wrong with that. However, can we get back to the enjoyment factor and get rid of the snooty attitudes of late? It's all so condescending and filled with so much contempt it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the reader.

I don't put a whole lot of stock into the so-called "intellectuals" I read. Heh, who hasn't sit by the guy in college who knew-it-all in class and wowed everybody with his big words and supposed brilliance and then turn around and made worse grades than you did!? To me smarts, and I mean real smarts, is how one manages along in life -not what they write and say and claim to know and reason out on a blogsite!

But, hey Donna! What do I know? hahaha...

I'm tired of opening up a blog to find yet another dedicated to writing off someone (or a group of someones). Most of it belongs in the schoolyard (primary school, that is). These bloggers profess to be adults yet act like teenagers. It bores me, frankly.

Blogging is non-denominational.  People do it for different reasons, and I guess expect different responses.  DOnt worry about the intellectuals.  I dont think there are that many who are, and the rest will enjoy your comments.

I blog about this and that.  Poetry, musings, stuff about things...you know how it goes.  Not sure if I'm an intellectual or not...but I do like a bit of discourse here and there, as well as a bit of lowbrow raunchy humor.  I'm flexible if anything.

Why I write?  I write to share thoughts...that's pretty much the only reason anyone writes at all.

Most definitely as most bloggers do! It's not the discourse, or the raunchy humor, it's what's done at the expense of another. It's not who likes who or whom, it's how writers perceive their readers. Contempt should be left at the back door.

Now, now, John Kerry isn't even running this time!

At least the Republican candidates know that.  But the democrat ones still think Bush is running.

Now I wonder who the smarter ones are?

I say Bush declare himself President for life, disban the congress, fire the 3 liberals on SCOTUS and declare the Democratic Party a known terrorist orginazation.
