Oh boy!

Speaking of leaving well-enough alone, I heard this morning that there will be Tarzan, The Musical on Broadway this year. In fact it's in production right now. Music will be written by Phil Collins, whom I adore! Hopefully, for his sake, the music will be good. Since he's had success at writing music for animation and other shows, I'm thinking it will be.

But can you imagine, Tarzan as a musical? Oh yeah, it's a Disney production too. The main star happens to be someone who had his 15 minutes of fame on American Idol, Josh Strickland. I barely remember him!

I heard the opening number is spectacular though, that bit from a journalist who has seen a preview.

Imagine the roar of Tarzan – Arhhhohohohohohohhhhhhhhhhhhhh – in song!

I found a website about it, thank God for Google and the Internet! I didn’t realize they would have this up on the Web already! [what was I thinking!]

Hilarious, it's just going to be him doing that scream and swinging across vines and maybe beating up some primates.

Maybe the one musical my girlfriend could get me to attend if I had enough beer in me.

I would just sit there drunk and laugh my ass off.

Hehe, could be cute for kids. I am also a Phil Collins fan so I too hope for his sake that the show does well

It is supposed to be the costliest Broadway production ever.  I'll wait for the movie version.

I heard about this the other day and laughed out loud. I had a picture of Tarzan and Jane dancing around a treehouse with a chimp chorus line kicking up its heels below. Actually, I'm still laughing about it...

"I can hear apes calling in the air at night, oh, lord..."

Sorry, but when I think of Phil Collins, I feel like gagging (apologies to any PC fans).

Probably, if they're into musicals! Me too, for Phil's sake, me too.

Phew... Wouldn't want to do anything to annoy you, my darling. (Between you and me, I was a bit of a Genesis fan and I even had a copy of PC's 'Face Value' - at least I think is was called this - it was a gift and I played it for a little while - just a bit too MOR (middle of the road) for me).

But it would be hilarious now wouldn't it?!

Oh yeah and then some...

I bet it's costly because it will have some sweet action sets. I imagine that the fly system will be awesome. (fly systems drop set pieces from the ceiling, just in case someone doesn't know). I bet the plot will shaky, but the songs and costumes will be big and flashy.
