Unfortunately they weren't able to beat Ghana. I didn't see the game. But I got the report on the Web from the link below.

They mentioned that a lot of American fans were there to support them. I think that's great! Too bad they couldn't celebrate by advancing to the quarterfinals. The penalty shot by Ghana was their undoing it seemed.

Ah well...better luck next time around guys.

I too was following along via web. I really wanted to see the game, but Italy was playing at the time. I think we should all be very proud of the heart that our guys put into it, especially after that first lost.

Too bad for USA but I must admit, after their comment about Australia only in the World Cup to fill out the numbers, I am not unhappy they've been knocked out of the competition.
