I honestly do. There is so much injustice in this world of ours. There are so many people out there who could use his help.
On my way to the movies with my kids I saw such a bad accident, it was horrific. There was an oversized SUV with a motorcycle stuck under it. You couldn’t see who was on the bike because there was no body or bodies thrown clear. All you could see was a pool of red under the vehicle. I couldn’t even see who was in the vehicle itself. All I saw were cars stopping and people rushing towards them to help. All I could do was dial 911 while I carefully maneuvered my car safely away from the onlookers and the horrific scene. It made me feel really bad and I prayed for the people who were hurt or dead.
I reassured my kids because they don’t see things like that often. It was just too much to see.
And while that scene was left behind, in front of me there were still drivers out there on the road who were in too much hurry to slow down to give their fellow drivers a chance to make their maneuvers without incidents. Someone is always too slow for them, why should they wait? Even when they have kids in their vehicles. It seemed to me that those with their newer and faster and sometimes bigger vehicles are just too much of a menace on our roads. Going the speed limit or 5 miles above the speed limit isn’t enough for them. They have to go 10, 20 or even 30 miles more than is necessary on a regular road.
What is all that in aide of? Why do they have to go like speed demons? I don’t know. All I know is, I have to keep my eyes and ears opened and alert to what’s going on all around me so that I can go where I am going safely.
Can you imagine had superman been real, he would have been able to save the World Trade Center! I know its childish thinking this way, but I guess I’ll never outgrow that inner child of mine and I’ll never stop loving the man of steel, or the idea of him.
Somehow in our real world we do like the idea of him and that’s why he’ll always be around!
