Life as I Know It; Family; Lifestyle; and Healthy Living!

From time to time I like to write about my religion. I don’t think I’m preaching to anyone. I don’t expect anyone to get converted. That is not my intention when I share my thoughts, my experiences or my stories.

I hope that in sharing what I do, that someone will be able to relate to what they are reading and if that someone is going through a rough time or feeling in anyway at odds with what’s going on in their life, that what they read will get them to re-think their situation and perhaps motivate them into action to do something, anything; and especially to know that what they are going through is only temporary that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Take it from one person who has been down that road. While my experiences may not have been as terrible or horrible as what others have gone through, they were experiences that have made me who I am today.

So if you come to visit with me and I happen to be writing about my religion and it’s not what you want to ‘hear’ about right now, just turn the page. I won’t get mad. Life’s too short to be huffing and puffing at every little detail.

It’s a part of me and it’s who I am; a work in progress, continuously striving for better and if I can touch you with my reflections, well, that will put a big ole smile on my face. And boy…do I have a lot more stories to tell…..

I don't think there is anything wrong with expressing religious beliefs on here. I've done it before myself. The only time I have a problem with it is when I feel that someone is talking down to me. And this goes for both ends...I've seen this superior attitude in believers and non-believers.

I've read some of your religious philosphies, btw, and you do not sound preachy at all.

Thank you Rose. I know what you mean though about the talking down to attitude. Not nice at all!

I'm not big on religion, but I think there's a difference between the way you would share it, and others would shove it down others throats.

Your way is helpful, honest and thoughtful, while others seem to attack you with their own beliefs.

Just remember that your own JU is basically for you to decide what you want to do with. Don't let someone else's opinions of your blogging determine what you do. With that said, just be considerate of others and try to remember they're entitled to their space too -- meaning your opinions are always ok in your space, but they may not fit well in someone else's space. If you are commenting in someone else's space keep it on topic and everyone will be fine, but veer off into a sermon and well, you get the idea....

Enjoy your space and keep posting great articles for others (like me) to read. It's a good thing (sorry for stealing Martha Stewarts words, but hey, I'm entitled )

Serenity,

I really like the title of this article. It applies to so many situations in life. I am constantly amazed by people who get annoyed or angry at something on television. If they don't like it, why don't they simply change channels or turn it off? There are far too many important issues in life to waste energy ranting at something one can't change.

What a great attitude and viewpoint this is. It is exactly how I think of myself too.

do I have a lot more stories to tell…..

Don't hold back. I, for one, would be happy to read them all.

Thank you Nicky. I don't like it too that this is going on. It's unfortunate. As the saying go, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink".

Most definately Terp. Sometimes 'we' get carried away with what 'we' are saying. It's happened time and again. This is why a discussion is usually carried over into anothers' blog topic!

Thx a lot! I don't think Martha minds at all!

Thx. Mark! Trying to be original!

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If I don't like something, I stay away from it. That's the thing to do!

Birds of a feather!!

Thanks a lot! I will enjoy sharing them!
