Journal entry for August 5

On Saturday I decided to go to the gym after not being there for about a year now. I was in the mood for a good work out!

When I got there it was closed but I didn’t go back home. I decided I would walk for a bit and then come back to check if they would be open later.

I walked for 30 minute at a good strong pace. It was going to be a hot day but since it was so early it wasn’t that hot yet, thank heavens!

When I got back to the gym it was open so I signed in, thank heavens I’m still in the computer and I went to work out.

I started with the Epileptical machine. At first it was difficult. My goodness! This is when you know how unfit you are. My walk warmed me up thank heavens so it didn’t take long before I was in a good stride and working out. I decided to not go too hard because after all, I didn’t want to injure myself. I did 30 mins on this.

Then I went to the Threadmill. I worked out on that for 20 mins again at a good pace.

I went to the rowing machine for 10 mins. I was building up a sweat!

I then went to the weights room. I didn’t really want to do free weights today, not yet. So I went on the machine where I sat on it, put the pin in the slot for how much weights I can lift (110 lbs was good) and leant against the bar and did sit ups until I felt busted!

I forgot the name of that machine, it gave my stomach a great workout.

When I’m at my level best of fitness I can lift 160lbs. I like working with weights and the weight machines because they help to burn fat and build muscle.

I then did some stretching on the floor mats.

That was it! Not bad for my first day back at the gym.

I didn’t over do it because I had been working out at home and walking as I said before so my body was already prepared for the beginning of this intense session.

Total workout time: 120 mins.
