Journal entry for August 6

On Sunday I didn’t work out as intensely. First my body was screaming, not too badly but my muscles were protesting.

I did some jump rope. About 50 jumps. My stamina is just not there yet, so I was out of breath by the time I was done!

I did some stretching and sit ups.

Then housework and cooking took over so I gave up.

I walked because I had to take my kids to do last minute stuff for back to school. It was sweltering; it was a relief each time we ducked into a store!

Total workout time: 10 minutes; walking around and stressing with kids: one hour!

Journal entry for August 7

On Monday I was just not in the mood for a workout. I felt tired and headachy! I had had an intense day at work and also because I had to run around during and after work.

Later in the evening I decided I might feel better if I did do something. So I grabbed the jump rope and skipped for about 10 mins. Not long enough, but I did something!

Then I grabbed the dumbbells and my ball, sat on it while I did some workout with the weights. Again, not too long. About 15 mins.

Total workout time: 25 minutes!
