Life as I Know It; Family; Lifestyle; and Healthy Living!

Well, the day is practically half over. It was a fun-filled day of enjoyment! I wish I had a camera to take pics but I didn't. And I didn't feel like getting the cellphone (my daughter's or hubby's) to take some although I wanted to, just too lazy to leave the pool!

Enough of the beer for the weekend, stretched into today since it was a holiday. And (my English teacher would be very upset with me for beginning a sentence with 'And' but I digress!) I've got to cool it on the beer because it's going to interrupt my fitness goals! Yes, I'm talking about the beer belly!LOL!

I called my families and friends, and their day in good ole Brooklyn on the parade route was going well! They told me to plan to attend next year's affair. I said I'll see what I can do! That would be great but we'll see!

The rain came at the end of our affair. I was glad it didn't happened mid-day. It was a hot day so we needed some cooling down.

It's really sad, the news of Steve Irwin's death. Despite what some people have been saying, and heaven's now why some people won't let the dead rest in peace; why do they have to make disparaging remarks that he lived too risky? What's that all about? Ah well, I tell you, some people!

So work and school again tomorrow, back to the routine!

I found something interesting when I opened up my browser. I remembered hearing this was the reason why Labor Day was celebrated a long time ago. It's interesting information for some people to be reminded about.

Hey D,

Just a quick note to say I'm reading you and lurking a bit, but I've been so bloody busy, I haven't had time to catch up on all the writings of my friends here. Happy Labor Day... It sounds as though you had a really nice day off.

As for Steve Irwin's untimely death, a documentary maker with him at the time has said he didn't think Irwin was irresponsible, just unlucky. I am not particularly a fan of Steve (mainly because of his political views) but I appreciate the good work he did promoting Australia's unique environment and his conservation efforts. Because of these things, he is an Australian icon. As for those who want to make disparaging comments about someone who can't defend themselves, I can only say they're bloody cowards.

I would not even know what his political views are, but he was a good showman.  I will miss his shows, and his guts!  I could never do what he did.

I don't know? I didn't see anything? I guess it's the wonky worm at it again!

Hey you! I know! Yes, we did have a wonderful day!

Yes, I heard that too, so sad.

Yes, he's made a fan out of many people. I heard someone from Australia said, many people may not know who the Prime Minister is but they did know who he was and that's so true!

As for those who want to make disparaging comments about someone who can't defend themselves, I can only say they're bloody cowards.

I agree!

but he was a good showman. I will miss his shows, and his guts! I could never do what he did.

Amen to that Doc, Amen!
