Wal-Mart- Get your generic drugs for $4!

Wal-Mart stores in Florida are doing an innovative thing, at least to consumers they are. As of today, you can buy some generic prescriptions for only $4! Yep, dirt cheap in the minds of consumers who need these medications and have been burning a hole in their pockets for decades! Innovative and a life saving to consumers, cut throat and a nightmare to other drug stores.

The local stores, Walgreens, CVS and Target are not happy about what Wal-Mart is doing. Once again the big guy (Wal-Mart) is monopolizing the market. All in the name of good and all for the people, it's customers. I really hope it is because of it's consumers and not some underhanded plan that has them doing this. You know how big corporations are, they like to monopolize and take over.

While this might not be good for the other stores around, it definately is a sigh of relief to many people who can't afford to keep up with their medication. Some even have to make a choice between eating or buying their prescription.

We've all wondered why the cost of prescriptive drugs is so high. While in some countries, Cananada and Mexico prescriptive drugs are more reasonably priced. That is why so many people do go to those countries to buy their prescription.

In the meantime, the local drug chains have decided to match Wal-mart's price. Let the drug wars begin!

For now a lot of people are breathing a sigh of relief though; and there will be a lot of focus on what Wal-Mart is doing. Whatever the impact or ramifications of this will be I can only hope the consumers are not the ones to feel the brunt of it in the end.

Why is it that when the oil companies run up the cost of a gallon of gas, they're price gouging, yet when WalMart sells generic drugs for $4, they're trying to kill off the mom and pops?
