Body in Progress Journal Entry

I'm making an effort to make time in order to exercise daily. Before it was at least three times during the week, plus my Power Saturdays. Then three time turned into two, then once, then it was not doing anything for two weeks, until last Saturday.

So I'm going to try my darndest to carve out time during my daily activities in order to workout. I'm going to be selfish and take the time for me.

As a mom it's not an easy thing to do. During the day at work, it's even harder. However, most times I don't take a lunch break, but now I plan to do so.

I'm feeling a lot better than I did last night at time since my last article. I was feeling very 'run down' and keeping up with my fitness routine will help me to stop feeling that way.

My goal is to keep moving. Either I"m going to go to the gym for a quick 30 min. work out or I"m going to walk the way I used to do while at work. Here's to me keeping this up and sticking to my plans!
_________________

Today's actual workout:

Walking 10 mins
Epiliptical 10 mins
Rowing 5 mins
Weights 5

Total 30 mins.

Not a lot, but every little bit will help!

_______________

Food intake today:

I'm going to try and keep a log of what I'm eating. I know I"m cheating because I'll have a pastry sometime, I don't go out and buy it, I get sobatage at work (we get free food sometimes) and when I'm stressed since it's there, I will eat it. I'm going to be strong. Here's to my will power!

Breakfast @ 7am
one bowl of oatmeal
cup of tea

Snack @ ? dont remember
cereal with yogurt (instead of milk)

Lunch @ 12:30pm (eaten while working - bad for my digestion!)
Chicken sandwich with lettuce (No, not the bad type)
Unsweetened iced tea

Snack (running ragged!)
Pastry
coffee

More water and iced tea

Dinner @ 7pm
Roast chicken
Green salad and green beans
one slice bread (unfortunately, white bread)
Unsweetened tea

Oh kids, I finished my daughter's pastry - help! This is one of my downfalls!

__________

I resolve not to finish my daughters food anymore - bad habit!

I've been slacking off too and I really need to get my booty in gear. Keep it up. Maybe you'll motivate me to get my butt back to the gym. I can completely understand how your exercise routine dwindles and all of a sudden you realize how long it's been since you worked out. Ugh.

Thanks for the motivation Ted! I'll do my darndest!

Yea, without realising it, and trying to find the time.....hopeless sometimes. I didn't get to go out today because of how busy it is at work today. But I'll definately have to do it later at home for sure!

Serenity, kudos to you for getting "Gung Ho" about your health.

I've been exercising on weekday mornings...but sometimes it's only 3 times a week instead of the five times I started off with (about a 25 minute workout). I better do some "gung hoing" myself (that sounds funny...lol).

btw, I never, NEVER thought I'd be the kind of person who'd get up early to exercise, but it's gotten me to be a bit more consistent about it, which is great.
