My boss carries a bag that is very much like a purse. It’s the ‘man’ purse. He gets teased about it but he, being the jovial fellow he is, takes it in stride. It’s gray on the outside and on the inside it has a deep maroon color he refers to as a ‘manly burgundy’! LOL!

It was a gift from his wife and he attends a lot of meetings and likes it because of all the compartments and he’s able to fit his portfolio and everything in it. No briefcase for him, the man purse is much better to carry around.

I say there fellas, would you be caught with a ‘man purse’ or is that too metrosexual for you?!

I have a small black leather bag that I sometimes carry if I need to haul some stuff around and don't want to fil my pockets. Not nearly large enough to be called a purse, but I do jokingly refer to it as my man purse. I have a nice large olive green messenger bag if I need something large.

But as for an actual man purse? Not me.

I believe the proper term for it is a valet but you'll never find one of those tucked under my arm.

Yeah, I forgot about my laptop bag. I'm so used to carrying it around I didn't even think about it.

I use a courier bag, and if I need anything smaller . . . I just use the courier bag anyway.

While I'm comfortable enough with myself to carry a man purse, I don't care enough to go buy one. If someone gave me one, sure I'd use it. But spend my money? No way, Jose.

My ex=gentleman friend used to carry a "bag" or soft briefcase.  A very expensive piece of leather,  just for guys,  and it looked real neat.  Professional,  and yet not stuffy looking.  It was black, with compartments,  and he could even ( and did) throw in extra socks and skivies if he was coming to see me...of course that's a blog all by it self....

ya a soft sided briefcase of sorts.

gee'ah! Can't help but flinch at that thought.

If you really can't deal with not having extra carrying space, get a backpack.

I carry around my laptop bag frequently, but a man purse is never acceptable. Kinda like capri pants. But then again, I just don't like those things, even on women.
