Workout in Progress Journal!

I've been walking as often as I can trying to get back on a routine of regular exercise. I've been doing two 15 minute stints at work on hilly and flat terrain. It helps believe me! Just to take the little breaks and get up off my bum!lol! I usually walk with of my co-workers who are good friends of mine.

At home I've been working out on my Performa machine. It really works the hips, thighs and legs and I can see the difference! It's been tough because there are times when I really am not in the mood or am too busy. Working out is a pain in the ass, literally and figuretively!lol! But if I want to get toned and lose some of this belly fat, I've got to do it!

This morning I got up early and walked for about 30 mins. That walk I usually take when I want to a good walk on my own. Thank heavens Amanda was still sleeping so I was able to really have a power walk!

I mapped my run and it showed that I walked 1.47miles one way and the same back again! It was a nice and scenic walk too with other walkers and joggers along the way.

I know I ate pizza last night, but I'm not going to let having two slices, OK three...I was frustrated....make me lose focus. Next time I'll just have two slices!

I'll see if about doing some weight training later!

I have to update that link to the Mapmyrun webpage because they have updated the site.

I've been off the exercise bandwagon for a few weeks. Well, I haven't been off completely, but let's just say both feet aren't on there (I'm exercising only once or twice a week).

I've been having such a hard time getting up lately to do my morning exercise. Funny that you mentioned splitting up your workout into 15 minutes each. I have been thinking of trying that. I just need some "oomph" for the morning.

I know what you mean Rose! I'm not a morning person myself!

Been there, still there....sometimes!lol! The thing I'm learning is even if I do slow down, don't stop entirely cause it's even harder to start again!

BTW..I love your Icon!
