It's been a good week and an almost bad week, but the good is winning over the bad part!
First off I hurt my back/hip at the gym. I was a bit too overzealous with the rowing machine and didn't feel it until later that night when I couldn't move! I was in the most excruciating pain! I've had pain before, migraine headaches, toothache, cramps from my period, labor pain and giving birth pain. Let me tell you, none of them compares to the pain I felt in my hip/back area and my fear that I had gone and done myself in all in the name of trying to stay healthy!
I was as stubborn as a mule though...yeah I get like that sometimes. I refused to take a painkiller. My reasoning was, if it was pretty serious, and not just a muscle or some other superficial hurt, then I need to be able to tell the doctor exactly what I'm feeling. My hubby didn't agree with me because he hated seeing me this way! I literally squealed with every movement, no matter how small!
I couldn't bend, I couldn't put my pants on, I could hardly walk and every move was a pain in my back! My baby girl tried to help by massaging it because she felt sorry for mommy. Nothing I could say would stop her because she wanted my pain to go away (just touching me was painful enough too).
I gingerly sat on my exercise ball and stretch my body as much as I could. Then I went on my Performa machine and gently swung back and forth, but not for long. I then went to sleep, a long, long sleep!
The next day I felt a bit better. Driving was still a bit painful. I couldn't use my right leg as fluidly as I was used to when driving.
Happily though, I can report that my pain is receding even more today and I'm able to sit, walk, drive without squealing out in pain! Thank heavens! I now appreciate even more you guys who have to deal with constant pain daily. I know it's not easy and I can certainly feel your pain. Thankfully mine is on the mend which means I didn't really do any serious damage to my body. My admiration for you who walk with pain has gone up by several notches! So sorry your pain isn't a quick fix as mine!

I"ve been on a slowly but surely, and steadily working out regimen and even if I stop for a day or two, I go right back at it! I have not been working out as strongly as I did previously, not yet.
I have been watching my intake of food and snacks. I still snack but I go for a healthier item than the fattening one. You guys know how much I love chocolate, I would rather have chocolate than water if I was trapped on a deserted island! And I love nuts as much as I love chocolate! So I've been eating more fruits and nuts and veges and once in a while a chocolate, but those mini ones, not the personal size bars.
Well, today I'm wearing one of my fav jeans...I only have two that I wear..hahaha..what am I talking about one of my fav jeans?! That's because I don't wear jeans too often. I do have several pairs I just only wear two of them....OK, so the other pairs don't fit me right now......anyway, usually this one would fit me like a glove, but not today!
Today they are falling off my waist! I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror and I realised that indeed these jeans are a lot more roomy in the ass than they usually would be! Yeah baby!
While I still have so much more to go, this is only the beginning, I am so loving this!
Oh yeah, the snack machine just made my day....they're stocking Sprite Zero again! They had stopped and the last time I saw the guy loading the machine I asked him about it, I guess he told them we love it so that's a good thing! I know, and you should care about this because......but hey, it's making my day!
Happy Friday JU!
