I dug deep to find (last year's posting, which I believe was also from the year before) that prose we did about our moms.

Would you like to do that again - create another joint writing?

Feel free to drop a line or two about your moms, any special memory, experiences, thoughts....

I'll put it together when you're done!

My mom and I didn't have a close or warm and fuzzy relationship but now that I'm a a mom I do have a whole new appreciation for just what it took to keep me clean and healthy and grow up to be a decent person. I do wish we had more of an emotional closeness. Sometimes when I see other families, I think I missed out on something but it is what it is. I try to be there for my boys in the ways she wasn't there for me.

That's the important thing! During my teen years, I wasn't a difficult child, but there were moments when I made things a bit difficult because of what I thought was good for me and my mom thought otherwise. I so appreciate her now!

Heya Donna, I would love to participate but I'm not very good at these types of things.

What I will say about my mom is this, though...we went round and round when I younger. I was a hard to deal with child and we all had issues. Since becoming an adult I have learned that no one will ever love me as much as my mother does. She is my biggest fan, supports me in everything, and is always, always there when I need her. Everyone else in the world might abandon me, but my mother never will.

I hope I can be that for my children.
