It can be an art form depending on what you find! I mentioned in a past blog that my hubby likes to find things, repair them give them away or keep them for our use. I think he definately can open a store! Recently, a lazy Saturday morning, he came in all excited because of his latest find but we had to HURRY!

I grabbed some clothes and rushed outside, his excitement was so catching! Lo and behold, a sofa set with lots of pillows! It was in pretty good shape and since I wanted to get rid of one our pieces, I decided, why the heck not?!

While we were there looking it over, and testing the seats out, would you beleive about three other vehicles pulled up asking if we wanted them? Apparently we weren't the only ones interested and we beat them to it!

We took them in, got rid of the old couch which was too large and heavy and left it for someone else to take. The sofa turned out to be a pull out bed! What a find!

And the good thing is it goes with my decor!

The sofa bed and plush pillows:

The oversized chair. It also has a pillow and is very comfy:

They both go very well with a chair I already have. It's actually green but shows up blue in the picture:

I can't see your pics, love.

Really exciting, though. I love getting something great cheap (or free!).

I'm looking at them. I wonder what happened - will try to fix it later, have to run outside.

Yep, and when what you get is worth the find, priceless!

Bummer on the picture.

I dont dumpster dive any more, but our neighbors threw out a solid Cherry coffee table.  The only thing wrong with it was that it needed 3 washers on the legs!  I love cherry!

I can't see the pics either.

I dumpster dive...but draw the line at anything with fabric. You just never know who slept on that pull out bed, who peed on the cushions, are there bugs (and I don't mean the roach type but the ones that are hard to see and like warm body types)?

I am happy you found something you love, just make sure you sanitize/wash/disinfect it well!

How's that for a buzz kill?

Sorry.

Hahaha...believe I know! I did. And I'm using covers until I get it deep cleaned!

AHhhh a fellow dumpster diver!  Happy for your find

I thought my diving days were done with when I moved here,  however people here just put stuff on our free bench!  No more need to go diving and break another rib!

I hope the pictures get fixed,  would love to see em!
