OK folks, now you've heard it all, a bottled water named Bling H20 sells for $50 - $90!

Oh yeah, the reason for the pricey tag are the Swarovski crystals embedded in the bottle, used to spell its name. The source of the water is from a Tennessee spring. It has been "purified in a nine-step process that includes ultraviolet treatment, micro-filtration, and ozone" oh joy!.

Guess who developed it......give up?.....Kevin Boyd, a Hollywood writer and producer! I guess we should have known that uh?! The people in Hollywood think regular Joes and Janes are as wealthy as they are or in fact, waste money the way they do! LOL! Ok, I digress, some people do waste money in worse ways, ways that are worth it I swear! But fifty bucks for a bottle of water? Not on your life buddy!

For those interested, the bottle comes in cobalt blue as well!

Here it is in the fancy frosted shade!

This is bloody ridiculous and an awful example of conspicuous consumption. And I always thought Evian was over-rated and overpriced...

An interesting fact: the average bottle of water makes 4 truck trips before it hits the supermarket shelves.

I don't know how good the tap water is in the States, but in Australia, the increase in drinking bottled water has led to an increase in children of tooth decay and gum disease as tap water here has Fluoride in it.

It's pretty good in most states as far as I know.

You're kidding! I thought the Flouride in the water was to help prevent that and strengthen teeth?!

"You're kidding! I thought the Flouride in the water was to help prevent that and strengthen teeth?!"

Exactly, so the drinking of bottled water instead gets rid of the Flouride.

I remember in a town I lived in a woman got arrested for selling sandwiches for 50 bucks. But of course she was giving them 'dessert' along with it.

I watched a report a few years back on bottled water. Most of the bottled water out there comes from regular tap water anyways. lol...they just filter stuff out of there (like flouride which helps your teeth) and resell it for a buck and a quarter a bottle.

I've heard that before! I have a favor for Dasani though. Most times I bring water from home anyways, my tap water is just as good!
