Life as I Know It; Family; Lifestyle; and Healthy Living!
It's July 2007, are you half way through your goals yet? Do you remember the promise you made to yourself to eat better, exercise, lose some weight? Perhaps your promise wasn't about health and fitness but about something else?

Whatever it was, are you sticking to your plans and focused on your goal? Or as happened to a lot of people, did you just gave up and decided you will try again next year?

Hopefully, for your sake you are still focused on your goal. One of my resolution was to get fit and lose some weight. I've been focusing on that goal consistently, enough so that I can now wear some of the clothes I couldn't a year ago, which is great! There are times when I do get distracted, stress being a big factor, and indulge in eating the wrong things and not exercise for a week, that does keep me off track. It makes me feel awful because I can feel the difference in my body. I don't feel as energized and I feel tired. That's not a nice feeling believe me!

With that in mind, being focused that is, I usually get dressed in my workout clothes as soon as I walk through the door in the evenings and I make sure to do at least 30 mins of workout. Most times I end up working out for an hour or more!

It's hard work trying to stay fit and I'm sure it's not easy trying to stay the course to meet the goals you have set for yourselves. The main thing is that we continue to do it! Hopefully by the end of the year you and I will be able to say "Yes I did it"!

Congratulations on your progress. I see it all the time...the gym is packed in Jan and Feb, but by March a lot of the newcomers are sporadically coming at best...by now only those who are really motivated are still sticking with it.

Keep up the good work!

My goal was to get more organized. I won't say I'm 100% there, I have my peeks and valleys too, but I think overall, I"m doing much better!

Whoohooooooo! I celebrate with you because I knw how difficult that is. My hubby is a smoker and he's not quitting yet and I which he would. I do know he has to do it on his own though.

thanks for asking and keep it up.

You're welcome and thanks!

Congrats on fitting in the clothes you couldn't fit in last year. That alone has to give you even more incentive.

I have never made any resolutions but maybe I should. Though this year I have been eating healthier. More fruits and vegetables than junk food. I cut out all salts and almost all sodas. I drink one like once a week.

Good luck with the rest of the year and I hope you can tell yourself, "Yes, I did it".

I didn't make any so I'm right on track Seriously, the baby lbs are coming off a lot slower than I'd like. We have been dejunking since we moved some stuff to our cottage and it feels great!

I do have a goal, not so much a resolution, to find a new babysitter and reinstate date night. It will be very important come Fall to make a point of planning time with my husband or else I'll never see him. I've gotten to be with him a tremendous amount this Summer and am not looking forward to that ending.

I don't think I really made any (I can't remember!), but I pretty much always want to lose weight.

I am in size 10s now (from tight 14s pre-pregnancy), so that is exciting.

Congrats to everyone on their progress.

Good about the dejunking! Yea, the baby weight, especially after the third child is the hardest! That's what I'm trying to lose right now and my baby will be 6 in October!!

Good luck with both! It's hard to do but imagine the reward when you do! Of course you do!lol!
