I was just listening to the news and there seems to be some new deal between North Korea and the US? As part of the deal, North Korea will willingly invite and allow the US to come in and help it to denuclearize it's Nuclear arms and they plan on dismantling their arms by the end of the year. Is that possible at all, we're in October!

For doing this, The US will give North Korea several million tonnes of oil! Do we really have this to give away and how can Bush plan to give them something when it is not sure that they will dismantle in time? Shouldn't there also be some clause in their deal with NK about their treatment of their citizens as well? Considering that Kim Jong is king, god and everything his people live and breathe!

The news also quoted a US official (no name) who said " To gain something, we have to give something"! From what I understand, the deal is practically made!

I decided to check out the Internet and there is caution in the wind on the part of the US and the deal is not really set yet! Well thank heavens!

According the website I visited linked below, "The US position also remains tough, judging by the statement of US negotiator Christopher Hill, who said the US is in principle ready to provide fuel oil, but only on condition of a full-scale denuclearization made possible through "disabling" North Korea's Yongbyon reactor, not a temporary freeze."

Good! So they do actually have to see some results before they just give them free stuff! Considering that North Korea has done so many inhumane things to it's own citizens and other world citizens, and with its' constant threat to other countries because of its' Nuclear arms, they should not be demanding so much in order to gain what they want! It looks like Japan won't make this easy for them, they should answer to all the crimes that they commit before they can receive economic aids and recognition from all the nations!

I read an article in Time Magazine saying that N Korea has made millions of dollars in FAKE US $100 bills, which ultimately lowers our dollar value.

We confiscated some of it and in negotiations about nukes...Kim Jon Barf asked for the money back...and we supposedly agreed.

I don't understand why we won't send an assassin in to take him out.  Take him and all the top ranking people out, let the country go into chaos, then South Korea could invade and wa-la!  One friendly country.

So are the terrorists over in Lebanon.

I dont like this.  It looks like another cave to blackmail.  it did not work the last time, I dont think it is going to work this time.  The only reason that NK agreed to the dismantling of the reactor is because they either have enough material already - or they have another site already to go.

You know, that list could get quite long these days if we add some people from other countries. *cough*Iran*cough*

Yep! I heard the tail end of a report about some well-known international banks that are pulling away from them. That's pretty serious stuff going on that I'm going to look into when I get some time.
