Here's one of the moves I make that really can get you going when dancer-cising!

Put on your favourite music. I usually like to stretch first, it helps to limber your body, get those joints loose!

Put both arms up in the air about your head and stretch, gently stretch at first, then give yourself a good stretch, and really get on your tippy toes as if reaching for that forbidden fruit on a tree limb.

Now slowly start to move your shoulders, one at a time, swinging first one arm, then the other. As you do that, get your hip into the action, swing from side to side as you continue to stretch and as you swing your hips, you begin to move your feet.

Do you feel your body stretching, then you're doing it right!

Now for that move that's really going to get you to work up a sweat!

OK, bring your arms down slowly, while still dancing, you're still going to be using your entire arm, shoulders too, and swinging your hips, but now instead of being above your head, your arms are moving in front of you, and you're still moving your hips in the same rhythm as your arms, kind of like marching but you're dancing to the music.

This might be a bit difficult for you to do the first time:

Slowly, while still swinging your arms in front of you, and remember, not just swinging your arms but moving your shoulders too

Bend slightly forward, your arms will now be pointed to the floor and go as far down as you can, til you're bent in half, or not, if you can't go that far! This is where your hips come into play!

Move your hips from side to side, slowly, gyrate your hips, feel them opening up, as you slowly come upright.

Shake your hips as hard as you can muster, without hurting yourself of course!

Your entire body should be moving now! Hip, hip, shake, shake, hip, hip, shake, shake and move your shoulders as well!

From this you can do anything you want, dance really crazy, shaking your entire body from head to toe, or just twirling and moving to the music!

To put some more advanced movements into this move, only for the fitter people, when you bend at the waist, go even lower, to your knees, then slowly, move your hips, side to side, then while getting into an upright position, when you're upright, twist your waist while doing the arm movements.

Remember, not to do anything you don't feel physically fit enough to do, but you could do some variation of this movement, for example, just doing the stretch, and then the hip movements from side to side, without bending!

Just get moving people!
