The Cost of Christmas 2007 - $19,507!

Last year I wrote about the cost of Christmas Link, at that time the cost was only $18,920!

Once again according to those same guys at the PNC Wealth Management, the Christmas Price Index is up once again by 3.1% and the increase is because of a couple of things:

Gold trading at $840 per ounce!

Since the federally mandated minimum wage increase, unskilled milkmaids now receive about $46.80 an hour! So "eight maids a milking" is quite costly these days! [of course they duly noted the maids haven't received an increase since 1997!]

The cost of food being more pricey, especially those geese and as the song says, "six geese a laying"....!

The cost of entertainment is up by 4% from last year due to the raise as well because compensation for the "drummers drumming" and those "lords leaping" is up because of the change in the labor market!

Hmmm, I'm sure we're all experiencing some of these price increases right? You know what that means, catching all those sales and using those store coupons!
