Rant on!
Sometimes I wonder about people who are declared insane by whatever legal authority. How do they feel? Do they feel anything at all? Do they realise that their lives will never be the same again?
Or Are they just so happy to not have to worry about anything at all in this life anymore?! No commitment, no troubles, no appointments, nada, nothing! They live in their own little world, off in la la land!
Then I wonder about those people who commit crimes of passion or some other crimes against people they once loved or knew and then they are declared as insane or unfit to stand trial or be a part of society. They get put in an institution where they get plied with medication and have therapy and after serving a couple of years, if they are that lucky, they are out again! Of course, if they have a great lawyer and lots of money, this would be a walk in the park for them!
It is with deep reflection that I wonder if I too could do something that I really want to do and get a way with it? Would I be declared insane or unfit? Would it be a case of temporary insanity, because I lost control of myself for a moment? Or would it be seen as a deliberate and meditative act?
Things like whacking some people who act as if they have no brain! Not whacking as in killing, rather whacking as in beating the crap out of them, or one or two bitch slaps to the head! There are some seriously dysfunctional people out there who are pretending to be normal. They have no common sense, no clue to using their brain, or being considerate, or thinking that the world belongs to them!
Sometimes it is not just with random people you meet, but also with people who you know a little. Like school administrators for example! Or that person who calls on the phone wanting your help but being rude and condescending! Then of course there are the people who are driving. Some of them should not be allowed to operate a motor vehicle!
What is up with these people who are texting and driving, or flicking through a book and driving or are on the telephone chatting away, head at an angle holding the cell phone, one hand on the steering, the other munching? Are they really serious? My hubby and I were driving along one day last week, him at the wheel, we came upon this car where the driver was taking his time, going really much slower than the speed limit allows. That in itself is dangerous to do! The driver came upon a right turn, at a major crossroad, the length of time it took for him to make that right turn and how he did it was unbelievable! We then realise, he's on his cell phone! Seriously people? STOP THAT!
You know what I detest? I detest people who think that everyone should bow to their command. I'm not taking about your boss or someone like that. I'm talking about people with 'airs' who feel they are so important they can't smell their farts! Why I outta.....!
Rant off.
But you know what? I realise that if I follow these people I would end up with a coronary at my tender age! So I take deep breaths, and I let it go! I let it go! And I turn my music up loud if I'm in the car, and hum along or I tune in to my fav thing to do if I'm home. Sometimes you've got to just let things roll off your back as my mommy used to say. Mommy was a wise woman!
