Body in Progress

I looked at the scale again, 7 pounds lighter than I used to be! Already, I thought to myself?! I'm going to have to do this again in the morning. I've been keeping up with the food, eating less, more veges, fruits, nuts, snacking on healthier things if I feel like it, yogurt, pretzel, fat free popcorn! I managed to get some exercise in but not as often as I would like right now. But I'm doing something!

But to already be 7 pounds lighter, yeah~! I realise that's water, blah, blah, but it's also includes that extra five pounds I did put on during the holidays! I did that quite willingly too!lol!

The next morning, there it was again, seven pounds lighter, and the next day, and the next.....AMEN!

So I"ve realised my goal of 5 pounds for the month, in fact, I'm over the goal of five pounds! Can you imagine when I really start to work out how great this is going to be?!

I'm stoked!

As busy as I've been at work, and home, and really stressing with the amount of things I have to do, at least trying not to stress. But to handle it all with the best attitude and really focusing on me. That's what I've been trying to do and so far so good!

I've been making sure to buy healthier snacks, my kids love to snack and after school especially, they reach for the pantry and anthing they get their hands on! Less sugar intake, more whole grain, the better! "

Well I'm going to try and temper your enthusiasm a 'bit' at least...

Once you start working out you are going to slow down on loosing weight for a bit. Don't get me wrong it's perfectly normal and healthy for you.

When you first start working out you are going to gain muscle weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. Though in the long run that muscle is MUCH better for you than the fat because that muscle will consume more calories, aka means higher metabolism so you will eventually lose the weight. I just don't want you to think that as soon as you start to work out and if you don't lose anything that it means your failing. it doesn't. Most people who start that way actually gain weight from the muscle gain before they start to lose weight so remember that

Bah, forgot to add that you should keep it up and your enthusiasm is awesome Just don't be surprised if you slow down and maybe gain a pound or two or don't lose any weight for a week or two. Just keep at it and the pounds will start dropping!!

I second what M-Post said. I've kinda reached a little plateau myself at 209 lbs after dropping down fairly quickly from 260! But...I keep going. Lately I've been doing (or trying to do, lol) intervals: run flat out for a minute then slow to a brisk walk for two. All in all (including about five of the intervals and a mile run @ 6 miles an hour plus lots of brisk walking and off an on different hieghts of incline) I do 4 miles a day 6 days a week. Anyway, hang in there Donna! We'll be skinny one a these days!

Yeaaaah! Keep it up! I know it gets exhausting! And you got it right buddy! By the time we meet up in the real world, if the JU reunion ever takes place, maybe we'll both be excited to be skinnier versions of ourselves eh?!
