Body in Progress
Published on February 3, 2008 By foreverserenity In Health & Medicine
I had my first time at the gym this past week. My oldest picked up her little sister from school, I had time to kill. My body made the motion of getting up, changing into work out clothes; while my mind was screaming "no, no, no....you're too tired...!" Thank heavens I didn't listen!

I had a great 30 mins at the gym and look forward to doing it again. In the meantime I work out as usual at home, whenever I can. I've been making sure though to get up and take 30 mins to work out before starting my day. Then I do a quick 10 mins power walk taking my daughter to school. We go really fast so it's a power walk to me!

I'm still eating right. I'll probably soon turn into a vegetable! I love my cheat days because I don't say no to eating something that I want to without thinking about it first! There is no thinking when it's a cheat day, you just enjoy whatever it is you're going to eat!

On Friday night it was Chinese.....Chow Mien, some rice and Mandarin chicken and Orange Chicken....at least, it turned out to be broccoli with Steak and Orange chicken because we had take out and they messed up the order! It was still good!

On Saturday, I had a particularly stress-filled day! We were late getting home, so while I cook dinner, meatballs w/Spaghetti, I indulged in two scoops of ice cream and diet coke in a glass - ala ice cream soda! Yummy, although when hubby tasted it he made a face and choking noises!LOL! I ruined the ice cream he said! Yeah, whose taste bud is satisfied uh hon?!

Well, Monday draws near, and it's back to the grind stone again....watching and eating and working out....just another week in trying to lose weight land!

Keep up the good work out there, don't give up!

WTG, Donna.  I had the best intentions of exercising today but I didn't quite make it there.  You're right though once I am actually exercising, I am glad that I am.

Oh my gosh, here I am eating cookie dough out of a bucket as I read this. GAAAAH! Good for you going to the gym and watching what you eat. And thanks for writing about it! I guess I'll go put this back in the fridge. One more bite though...

Thanks Cedarbird! It's hard, really hard but I'm planning to stick with it.

Hahaha...you don't know how much I wanted to put some cookie dough in the oven last night and make cookies! My willpower won!!

Good for you! Keep going!I just started up my workouts again. The first two weeks are always tough for me. After that it just becomes a part of my day. All I know is I don't want to show up at ODS on the borderline for weight/body fat and running at the back of the pack. So, time to put the shoes on and get on the treadmill.Keep posting! Your progress is the inspiration I'm needing right now.

Thx! Good luck to you too! Yes, the first two weeks are the hardest! Heck everyday is hard but once the first two weeks are over you get into a rhythm you don't want to break!

I have to get my lazy but there to. I use to work out all the time in high school but once you start University and work there is no time left over for the gym...
