Yes it can be.  And life is too short.  Let the petty people be vindictive.  I have learned that by trying to "get even", you have not only suffered the wrong that was done to you, but you have now also lost time on an effort that has no meaningful benefit.  So you lose twice.

Actually, I am known as "the company bitch".  lol

But, I agree, karma can be a bitch.  If you live a helpful life, people will help you if needed.  If you're an asshat, then you'll be on your own.  People suck.

It's my opinion that assholes do things,  hurt others, (  they're in the position to be able to do so)  because they get a "high" from it,   it's a power trip,   a need to be in control.  Also,  usually their own lives are in dissaray,  out of control. 

I also think that it's wholly normal to get angry at someone,   however to hold on to the anger is damaging to one's own health,   such as blood pressure.  Yet some hang on for dear life to that grudge.  It's like it has a hold on them!  In that sense the idiot that hurt us or wronged us is maintaining that control beyond the initial wrong!

 Getting even with an asshole gives one a feeling of satisfaction.  I happen to think that most assholes are going to get their due from someone and I'm not going to try.  Although....hehe,  ok   I've done so in the past,  however as I age I've discovered that it's better for me to just "let it go",   an asshole is going to crash and burn sometime and better if not at my hands.

I guess they are because, well...just because they can.

While I agree with the idea that some are this way because they can or get some personal, sickening satisfaction out of it, I think most people are so ignorant and shallow they probably don't even know they're being assholes. They're probably repeating behaviour patterns they've seen acted out by their parents or significant others. Either way, it is a sad way to live one's life.

Some people are just assholes because they think they are superior and have the right to be an ass to nicer people around them. They keep doing it because they can get away with it; because they are the boss, or that they have higher degrees, or life is just so grrrrreat for them.

Lady Karma will come along with her mod-stick soon enough, but by god, why is she always hitting me instead of them?

Believe me, these people do! They make it a point to do what they do to everyone!
