New York's Governor Elliot Spitzer has joined the long line of politicians who got caught in a scandal that has changed their lives forever! 

He went to a hotel in Washington DC, under a pseudo name, George Fox, and had fun with a "very high class" prostitute to the tune of $5,500! 

The question is was it public funds that was used to fun this little romp, or was it his own money?

Another question is, if it wasn't public funds, and his own finances, should it matter to us that he did this? 

Why would he use a false name?  Because he didn't want anyone to know who he was of course!  Thus he knew that what he was doing is wrong!  Worse, his poor wife and children will suffer the pain and ordeal of his public shame!  How will he rectify that situation with his family?  What does he tell his children?

I've always admired him when I lived in NY because he was a very zealous (perhaps too zealous) Attorney General and a no-nonsense kind of guy who got to the heart of corruption in the city at the time.  He was a very tenacious person and didn't stop until he had many corporate crimes and securities fraud prosecuted and was infamous for 'bringing down' the Gambino Family was were (allegedly) involved with the Mafioso!

It saddens me to learn of this situation with him, yet another politician who can't keep his pants on!  He has a beautiful wife, why do they do stuff like that?!  

I hear a few reports that say it is probably the power of their offices that goes to their heads, these politicians think they cannot get caught!  Somehow, they always do! 

For a man that have prosecuted others who have done the very same thing he has been caught doing, that's quite a big smear on him and unfortunately his wife and children!
