I haven't written about my body in progress in a while but I'm still at it! So I joined Weight Watchers, I attended my third meeting last week, so that's my 2nd week on the program. I didn't lose anything, haven't lost any weight on the scale at all at my second weigh in! I has my monthly cycle the first meeting I attended after joining and gained 2ounces! Which I know was water and I told them and that didn't count, yeah!
At last week's meeting I lost those 2 ounces but no weight loss! I felt a bit deflated because everyone else around me was "I lost five pounds", "I lost 3 pounds" , then this lady was awarded a gold key because she lost 30 pounds, she has been doing it for six months! She was very happy and we all were really happy for her! She told us how it was for her, how difficult it was to actually go through it and I can understand why she got emotional. That was an amazing thing she did for herself and no wonder she's emotional!
So I told everyone (I have no shame) that I hadn't lost anything, some advice, I asked! The lady who lost the 30 pounds told me that it would be difficult at first but stick with it. And she also didn't just ate less, she ate more often and exercise a lot too. This I already know!
I wasn't exercising that much prior to attending. I had taken a break because I was having a particularly sensitive stomach and time during my cycle so I just wanted it to be over so I could get back to normal. The rep/host said she would meet with me individually next week to see what was going on with me!
All input is welcome but I got back on my work out and am feeling better and actually lost three pounds since last Wednesday! Yeah for me! I'm on the Points program, only eating 29 points for the day. It's actually a good thing to watch what I eat and be more accountable to myself. I reminded myself that on my own I lost 10 pounds and now I am even more dedicated to me for joining and really get myself in the shape that I want to be in!
So I am visualizing myself lean! I see it in my 'mind's eye' the leaner more fabulous me! It's actually a good motivator! I'm making sure to eat more fruits and more vegetables and drink more water. You would be surprise how sometimes I might forget to drink water more often that I do! And another thing is I have to eat more often. I portion size because the points factor calls for that too, but I also tend to get busy with my day and not eat. That doesn't help!
So sometime today I'm going to squeeze a little workout in. It's off to cooking a birthday dinner for hubby, he doesn't want to go out to eat (the man doesn't want to go anywhere, except a nudist beach, I reminded him!lol!) [that's another blog...about not wanting to go anywhere that is] and I have to run out and pick up a birthday cake too! Our oldest and her boyfriend are coming to join us for dinner and cake.
More power to you guys out there who are still works in progress! Don't give up!
