A little kid can't even depend on the Tooth Fairy anymore! My daughter lost one of her molars, one in the back, finally after weeks of her worrying about it because it was shaking, the tooth is out.
She had kept worrying it with her tongue and I was afraid she was going to bite into something and maybe swallow the thing! Her dad wanted to just pull it out but I told him no way because all of the root have to come out!
She went to a birthday party and came back home with the bothersome tooth in her hand! We celebrated! She washed it off then ran to put it under her pillow. Cue my signal to myself to remember the Tooth Fairy, mental note!
Uh, uh...yeah, sure! I'm in the kitchen the next morning, washing up, breakfast and all that. She walks in looking rather sad. I asked her what is wrong. "The Tooth Fairy forgot to visit me mommy". Oh no! I looked at her dad, I said, "Well, maybe she was just so busy, she didn't get to you yet!" She cheered up and said, "Yeah....maybe there was a lot of traffic!" I nodded in agreement feeling bad. I suck at being a Tooth Fairy cause I never remember!lol!
So that night after I put her to bed, I crept back into her room, felt for the tooth (her head was on the pillow) grabbed it, placed a dollar bill in its place and crept out again!
She woke up really happy, and jumping, "I have a dollar from the Tooth Fairy!"
Whew....
