I'm sitting here worn out after meet and greet and finding classrooms for my son and at his new high shcool and earlier meeting the teacher at my daughter's elementary school.

Amanda's school list, well, I thought I had gotten everything I could possibly think of!  Oh no!  Despite all the shopping I've already done, I didn't quite complete it, I just scratched the surface!  The quantity of each items, well, now has to be in threes, as in three packs of each, e.g., eraser tops for pencils, pencils, pens, antibacterial wipes, etc.

There were also a couple of things I had not bought that I forget I might need like tissues.  Would you believe that I thought I had purchase those bins, the 8 inch plastic ones, I hadn't!  The utility scissors I could swear that my daughter does own already, at least three, I can't imagine where they are, I had to buy a new one?!

Oh yes, I'm not done, I've got to finish up by the weekend, because despite providing headphones last year, I need another one for her.

As for Adam, his feet seemed to have grown over night!  I had to take back the shoes purchased earlier this summer and get different ones, with him in tow again!

Darn it, I still didn't get gym clothes, spirit shirts or purchase his new school locker for the year yet!  I'm never prepared enough!

LOL, I know the feeling. I just got my kids uniforms a couple of days ago and my wife had done the list shopping about a week ago. I saw things on the list I was kinda curious as to why we had to get those things but oh well, it's for our kids. I just find it funny how it is announced that the Florida Lottery has donated I can't remember how many billions to the Florida education system yet here I am still having to buy stuff I figured the school should provide. But no biggy, just a couple of bucks anyways.

I just met my 9 year old sons teacher yesterday, nice lady. She's new to the school just like my son and seems very interested in teaching rather than just looking for a paycheck. I plan on getting very, very involved in his education, I made sure the teacher was aware my wife and I were available to help in any way she needed.

My younger son who will go to school for the first time (kinder) has yet to meet his teacher cause we did not get him signed up till today, thanks to lost physucal paperwork and run arounds by stupid staff at the doctors office. So i hope to meet her and give her the same infromation I gave the other teacher about me being very involved.

Now to figure out my schedule with dropping them off and picking them up after school while not getting to work late and not taking longer than 1 hour of my lunch time. Oh I hope they appreciate the sacrifices I'll be doing for them in the future.

I hate how there's always something else!

In Hawaii the stores would literally run out of certain supplies, and it would be such grief waiting for them to come in. Ugh.

I hope we have everything we need. We did get all the items on the list, but there are usually additions that weren't listed.

That sucks about the shoes! We have stopped buying the boys pricey shoes because they outgrow them so fast! Orian wears his out, but Xavier outgrows his and they still look perfect. We can do hand-me-downs with shoes from Xavier to Orian, but of course Xavier has skinny feet and Orian has wide feet. D'oh!

Charles: Don't you love school uniforms? So much cheaper than buying "school clothes"! And it makes mornings a lot easier too!

i know!

That's good of you!  I can never coordinate my timing so I just usually let them (the teachers) know that I'm there if they need anything office-related done.

In no time at all Adam's feet went from a size 8 to now a 10/11, depending on the shoe type! As I said, he's practially taller than I am now!

PS: I think you're the same month as Jessica's pregnancy? She's 4 months now, or are you a month ahead.  She's beginning to get sick more at this stage, throwing up and stff, which was different in miine (the first three). She's doing OK though.
