RIP
Published on August 20, 2008 By foreverserenity In Entertainment

I've been busy and hadn't gotten a chance to mention the passing of two really wonderful entertainers.  I'm sure you guys have probably heard about it.  I have enjoyed the comedy of Bernie and the music of Isaac over time.  I didn't even realise Bernie was as ill as he was, though I did noticed how much his weight fluctuated recently, and noticed he didn't look quite himself.

I have yet to hear if Isaac was ill, or had a heart attack while working out?  Anyway, they have both pass on to the 'other side' and may they rest in peace.

The link to Isaac Haye's story - he died of a stroke.

Isaac Hayes entertained my generation with his rich music, and I will miss him (I am not really a SP fan).  But Bernie Mac really hit close to home.  He was my age!  And reminded me all too clearly that my life is not a guarantee.  I look forward to each day now with a little more appreciation and enjoyment.  I will miss them both.  They did make my life more enjoyable, and in the end, that is the best epitath a man can ask for.

Both way too young to pass. I liked much of both their work, but I really enjoyed Bernie Mac's comedic style.

I read that Hayes' family came home and he was on the floor and the treadmill was still running.  Sad.

Definitely both gone way too young.

I have some beef with Isaac Hayes, but that doesn't make his passing any less tragic.

I wasn't really a fan of either but there is no doubting their talents.  They will be missed, I'm sure.

I'm having trouble responding, my comments won't post.  Just in case, it does,

They will be fondly remember.  It is funny how you begin to compare once you hear someone close to your age passes, isn't it?! Mac was close to my hubby's age, a few month's later.

Tex, you're talking about the SP thing with Isaac? I heard about that. I'm not a fan of SP myself so didn't see it. But I guess all that is not relevant now as you said.

Yes, I too loved Bernie's comic!

I remember seeing some Bernie Mac stand up (the 'Stealing Pussy' piece) and i was in tears afterwards. Loved his work ever since, i'm really gutted to hear about him.
