"It will be a stirring sight to watch President Obama, his wife Michelle and their beautiful girls step through the doors of the White House," George Bush said [article linked above]

Good on you President Bush, like John McCain, you are both very gracious in calling for the unity of our country!

One thing I can say, these little girls will have a great future (not that they didn't before) growing up knowing they were once part of the whole process of running this country. They may not have a legal say in any matter, but I will have no doubt their future will definitely influence their fathers opinion oh how to deal with the issues.

I may not be happy with Obama's win, but I am a proud American (always have been) and will accept him as my President and give him the benefit of the doubt because I believe in our voting system and it was the will of the people that he would lead them. But I do reserve the right to criticize the results of his policies since it was my belief that his policies were not what this country truly needs. As an American and as it was said many times before by many Democrats/Liberals, it is my duty as an American to question his decisions.

I agree with pretty much everything you said Charles and FS.

Good to see ya FS.

Bush always gave more credit than he received. Anything positive about the man was pushed to the back page (if mentioned at all) by the media.

Bush did well his first four years.  It is the last four that broke his Presidency!  I didn't vote for him but he was and is also my President!

Yeah! Thx Charles. Good to be back blogging again, though trying to keep my head above the gloom and doom I see all over the site!

I'm sure many will, the same way George Bush's policies were.  It's a given having the position like that! I'm sure I will question things Obama does too, as will many who voted for him.  Nothing is ever perfect, the thing is to give it a chance, a wait and see liek we all did with the many men elected that office.

Yeah! Thx Charles

Oops, I meant to write "Thx Dude!"  Can't fix that since the EDIT button is no where right now.

Glad that you wised up and not waiting to say "i told you so"...  we all have that duty ,,, and you dont even have to wait for the results. he said he would listen ... let him hear it ... loud and clear. just use reason not ideology .... and remember we are in the 21st Century ... not the 18th.

you will be pleasntly surprised ... you will see... just watch
