Green Salad that is! Or as some say, Tossed Salad.   I usually like mine with some type of meat, Chicken basically.  Unfortunately I forgot the meats at home today!  I gave the greens a liberal coating of fat free dressing, and made like a sheep in the meadow! (no way am I going to say Cow!)  Not too bad, rather enjoyable!

I've begun the steps I usually take towards continuing my weight loss plan.  I bought all the healthy stuff. Fruits such as grapes, apples, bananas, oranges.  And vegetables such as Spinach, Lettuce, some beans, carrots, celery, tomato, even seaweed!  Seaweed actually tastes really yummy!  I don't know how to prepare it so I buy the one that is already prepared from my favorite Target's deli area where the Sushi Chef prepares the sushi.

I like going to Target to get Sushi.  I prefer the raw fish such as eel, shrimp and other types, wrapped in seaweed, and some rice.  I like putting the ginger on the side, and dose it all with the soy sauce!  I hadn't eaten the Wasabi in a while and usually avoid it because although I like spicy food, Wasabi whips me like a rag doll!  Man it is a good thing I was home at the time, when I decided to remind myself of why I don't eat it!LOL!  Talk about fire, it went straight to my brain for a Wasabi meltdown!

I have yet to get physical though. That is usually the last stage of me getting started.  I have been felling quite tight, in need of stretching my body and really getting physical.  I guess it comes with age!  Without moving, you seize up!  This morning I did some Yoga stretch in the shower which felt really good!  That reminded me of why I should get my body moving!

I'm going to end this conversation and go out for a walk right now.  My lunch break will be over soon so I'm going to get 15 mins of walking out of it!

One have got to keep on moving.  That will be my objective, no matter what it is I do, just keep up an intense moving pattern for at least 30 mins a day!  So it begins!   I wonder how you guys and gals are doing out there?

I intend to get moving myself

God, good, I like to hear that!

He's easy on the eyes and very encouraging.

Oh, I see you've met my other boyfriend?!  I worked out with him religiously when I was doing it more often.  He's really good and yes, he's not too hard to do!  He is easy on the eyes in those leggings!lol!  Aw yea, them women can be rather thin!

I could live on salad when the weather is warm, soup when the weather is chilly.  I view salads as a way to clean out the fridge--anything and everything gets thrown in and it becomes a meal in itself with the bonus of making me feel virtuous on 2 levels that way!

I have started the get moving part--going to the gym 2-3 days a week for 30-40 minutes of cardio and then 50 min of weight training.  All days it's a battle to get myself to go, but some days (like today), once I'm there, it's worth it.  Crank up VH1 and sometimes the treadmill feels more like dancing than work.  Did over 40 minutes of hills today and could have done more.  (Of course tomorrow will be payback.)

Haven't gotten to the food part yet--still not convinced I'm worth it.  Sounds funny--I'm willing to kill myself at the gym but not willing to just shut my mouth in the kitchen.  But there it is...

Mmmm...mmmm! I love me some greens too, Donna! As amatter of fact I eat spinach nearly every day! (and speaking of southern country foods, didja have your black eyed peas on New Years Day? You're supposed to have black eyed peas for good luck in the new year and eat them with greens because greens symbolize folding money and prosperity!)

That is the part that used to be hard for me too.  And sometimes I do indulge, but not overdoing it.  I am an emotional eater, but I've learned to curb that habit!

Yes! The black eyed peas seems to be a tradition everywhere on New Year's, even from my culture too!
