Who knew?!

Ravi Somoiya wrote an article which I read on the NYTimes.com  "It's the Economy, Girlfriend" about women dating men who work on Wall Streets, in various Banks and/or who were some type of Power Broker.  Now these women are face with coping with their boyfriends or spouses who have had to give up some of their special, and expensive past times.  Not to mention that the women themselves are no longer able to go shopping at will or have the 'help' they need just because they can. Those days are over!

They didn't sign up to be in that type of relationship where they now have to be emotionally supportive to their men in need because of their trying times in these economic markets!

That didn't paint a pretty picture, because how I wrote it made some of them sound like gold diggers, which some may be, but I'm sure, some are not, so my apologies!

It is interesting to read however, that these ladies now have somewhere to go and others who are going through the same experiences, to talk to. Everyone needs someone to talk to. I certainly hope though that they would have been supportive to their man whether they were facing hard times or not, unless of course, they are just in the relationship for the money!

They're still living it up, just not as well as they used to!
