Wednesday night in TV land!

I tuned in to the two new Reality Shows that were on, The Swimsuit Model Search on NBC and the Road to Stardom by Missy Elliott. Somehow I find myself liking reality shows, at least some of them. I’m not too keen on these two though.

My wandering fingers changed to ABC. What’s on, LOST! OMG! I forgot all about the new episode tonight. I turned in just as Jack was asking Kate to tell him the truth. Boy did I miss a lot. Anyhow, I watched until it was finished.

9 PM
Alias time! I was a little excited about it because of all the promos and couldn’t wait to see what Sidney was up to again. It was really good tonight. Loved the opening and love Angela Bassett. Superb acting, I so believed them. I was at the edge of my seat. There are just too many close calls. I’m one of those people who get really engrossed in what I’m watching. I think I left my finger tips on the floor!

Of course, like I always do, I had to get all tangled up in two shows at the same time. On UPN, Kevin Hill was going on. Need I say more?! This show is as wonderfully witty as its cast. It’s very refreshing.

11 PM
I was channel surfing and bumped into Jennifer Lopez on MTV. She was doing Making the Video for her new song. One thing I noticed was the beat of the music to her new song sounded so familiar to me. As if I heard it before?

In between watching TV I played with my toddler, fed her, etc. Then I had to comb her hair. She cried (she’s tender-headed), she has curly, kinky hair. I couldn’t do anything about her crying but comfort her afterwards. Ah well…

Anyway, to get back to TV. We recently started getting the Style Network. I enjoy watching these types of programs, brings out the aesthetic in me (if there’s such a thing!). I tuned into Clean House with host, Niecy Nash. On this show Niecy and her crew goes to someone’s home and decides what they owner keeps or what has to go and then they have yard sale. The money that is made from the yard sale is matched by the show so that the designers can do redecorate and give the home a makeover.

On this episode they had a woman, a Judge by profession and her college-age daughter. They live together in their home. These two were always at each others throat. The mother thinks the daughter is too messy and the daughter wants the mother to stop bothering and nagging at her. The house was such a mess I don’t even know how they lived there! To cut a long episode short, at the end, the mother hated the makeover because she’s a pack rat and can’t let go of anything. She wanted everything the way it was. She broke down. I felt sorry for her. I guess she just can’t see why her daughter is that way, the same as her, holding on to everything and messy. I guess it’s hard to let go. As Niecy said, they have issues that a makeover won’t fix. She was very diplomatic with them though. I must give her credit for that.

What a night.
