The Flu doesn't care who you are....
Published on February 25, 2005 By foreverserenity In Health & Medicine
I'm still sick. Not as badly as last week, but I'm still not a hundred percent yet. That's partly my fault though cause I've not gone out to get my vitamins yet. But I will do so this weekend.

In the meantime, people around me are dropping life flies! It's been a skeleton staff this week. some people here have been out for two, now three to four days. The Flu does not discriminate! It doesn't care who you are, how fit you are or even if you did everything under the sun to protect yourself against it.

It sees you, grins wickedly, and attacks!!!@#@ "You're mine!" it says, "Cough, sneeze, sniff....". "Oh no, my throat, my nose, my head!" That's all I hear everyone complaining about. Then all of a sudden, I take a look around me and....wait a minute, this one left early, these two called in sick.... the Flu has struck another one.

Welcome to my world! No way did I spread it. Don't even look in my direction. Someone else in my office had it before me. I was the second person to get it. My kid gave me mine. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Link

I heard tell there are at least five strains of the Flu this season. And with the weather going all loopy in different parts of the world, I'm not surprised.

If you haven't caught it yet, good luck. If you do catch it, good luck!

For now, just drink lots of fluid and take care of you.

{hold's head gingerly and slowly steps away from the keyboard in search of fluids}

Ive been getting over all kinds of stuff 2 weeks ago the flu went away , now I have a sore throat ... great...

I admit im one of those people who takes nyquill all the time because it really works!

But try this ... make some tea. Put a little bit of honey and a shot of whiskey into it... Youll halfway feel like a better person in the morning

Only give yourself one of these special mixes a day

fyi...if you don't feel up to venturing out for vitamins, you could order them from puritan's pride at Link. actually, i love their stuff and they have HUGE discounts on everything. they have everything you could possibly want, and fast/reliable delivery, too. and, they always have great bogo and b2g3 deals. my mom told me about puritan's, and after i checked it out i could have died when i saw their prices compared to what i'd been paying at GNC for years! It's definitely worth checking out!

feel better!

Raven, my son gets his flu shots every year because of his asthma. My toddler on the other hand her pediatrician doesn't like to give it to her because he says she's a healthy child. I'm going to really beg him to give it to her this year though because she always gets the cold from her daycare. She always bounces back quickly though so I know she's healthy! My oldest girl never gets sick, very rarely. Me, I'm usually healthy, cause I do exercise and take vitamins, although they ran out and I didn't replace them til now. There are just times when I get a little of their colds. This strain I believe is one of the strongest so far, thus, most people are sucuumbing to it, me included.

feel better!

Thanks Old Girl, and I've seen the Puritan label but never tried them. I'll take a closer look.
