A couple of months ago, I read an article written by Dianne Holes in the Health on Parade section of our local paper where she says you can think yourself thin. She said the focus of dieting shouldn’t be on the belly, apparently where most of the fat is, but rather the brain.
You can think yourself thin with affirmations. The brain is a powerful tool that can make you believe whatever you want to. So by being positive and repeating affirmations to yourself, you can actually think yourself into thinness.
I think it’s a good thing. After all you’re focusing on the positive and not on the negative. I mean think about it (no pun intended!). You’re telling yourself positive things it might get you to forget about your problems and whatever problems you perceive with your body. You might even actually talk yourself into working out. You can do it.
I’ve started talking myself into doing things. And being positive, and believe me, it works! So I might not be thin tomorrow, but I can still have a smile on my face because I’m being more positive.
