As anyone heard about this? Now there's a cancer alert about toothpaste because of a chemical used in it, triclosan. It reacts with water to produce chloroform gas which after long term use and exposure will cause problems. This is a British website but a lot of the products mentioned are also used here in the US.

The products Triclosan is in are:
Dentyl mouthwash
Colgate Total fresh stripe
Colgate Total
Sensodyne Total Care
Tesco own brand toothpaste
Mentadent P; Aquafresh

I’m on this website’s email list.

Wow, I knew there was a reason I didn't use toothpaste, but figured it was because it tasted icky and not cancer causing.

I know what you mean. It's aways tasted so bad to me too. And lately the new ones, which I've tried a few of, have really tasted horrible!

Interesting they wouldn't take the time to research the toothpaste ingredients' chemical reaction when it comes into contact with water. Or did they? *dramatic music burst DA DAAAAA DA*
