So I've been keeping up with my exercise schedule. Working out five, sometimes six times a week. I started going to the gym again. I work out for at least one hour. When I'm really rushed I just work out for half hour. I find that this really keeps me feeling good both mentally and physically. No aches or pain to complain of. Exercising keeps the bone greased (or oiled) as they would say in Jamaica! I don't feel like my joints are ceasing up or my hips hurting or anything like that anymore. Yeah for exercise!
I'm also portion sizing the food I eat. I don't measure or weigh it, I just eat less of it at one sitting. I try to drink a lot of water. Sometimes I don't and that's not too good. I find that eating smaller servings each time I eat something makes me crave food less. I dont' have the craving anymore. Except for chocolate when I'm having PMS! But even then, it's not as bad. Plus I hear chocolate is good for you, in moderation of course!
The exercises that I do are, 15 minutes on the Epileptical machine; 15 minutes on the threadmill; 10 mins on the rowing machine (if I'm not too tired, otherwise it's 5 mins) the rest I do with the weights machines. Thighs, arms, back, and I do sit ups. Those are the hardest for me. But I do see a vast improvement. I'm so much more toned now. I love that!
Now that I've made up my mind to stick with this self-developed program, and I hope that I do, at least I really don't plan to come off of it, I am really glad I decided to start doing it. I also had my annual physical today and everything is ok. At least I have to wait for the blood tests results (family history diabetes, hypertension, etc.) but I don't believe I have any of that. They also did an EKG (since I'm now 40!) and I passed with flying colors. No heart problems, thank God!
Working out is hard work, but I'm there with it mentally and plan to stay the course! Yippee!
