Bill Introduced by Congress

I wrote a blog entitled Medicine and Morality some time ago. Link

I also noticed it was the topic of discussion again here recently on Marcie Helen’s blog.

On April 14 Congress introduced a Bill to make it illegal for pharmacies to refuse to fill these types of prescriptions. If they don’t comply they can be fined $5,000 a day or up to as much as $500,000!

The report mentioned that although the Bill didn’t specifically mention the words birth control prescriptions, but rather all prescriptions, the intention of Congress was for there not to be anymore problems for people trying to fill their birth control prescriptions.

They just want the pharmacies to do their jobs. I couldn’t agree more with this statement!
