At lest in San Francisco
Published on May 24, 2005 By foreverserenity In Current Events
it seems that kids are disappearing in San Francisco. Not because of crime or at the hands of perverts (thank God) but because their parents are moving out of the city.

It seems living in San Francisco has become too expensive. So the classrooms are empty and so are the parks. Friends that used to live across the streets are no longer there to play with. The gay population is also very high there 20%. Some were wondering if this may be the reason why families are moving. It's not thought to be the reason though because many gay families are raising children themselves!

Now the city plans to stop the kid crisis and set up councils to develop plans so that families will be able to stay in the city.

Wow. I wonder if there will soon be a mass exodus to this city soon. That is if the high cost of living doesn't prove to be too strong a deterent to families interested in moving there.

My city, Sydney, is sister city to San Francisco. I would love to visit San Francisco as it looks to be a beautiful city (but not as beautiful as my home town of course)

I've never been there but would like to do so. I guess the expense is just too much there for regular people who don't have an inheretance or trust fund!

I didn't know that! It does seem to be a beautiful city with all the museums and attractions for visitors and activities to keep you busy.

I'm sure it's changed a lot since then too.

I think I understand. I go to Miami airport all the time and also visit Fort Lauderdale often but I've never set foot inside Miami itself! But one day I will go there deliberately!
