Kanye West is calling for an end to gay bashing by rappers! Well, that's good news I thought. I mentioned the report to my friends who thought that was great but then they all wondered, is he gay?

Now this makes me think, if they're asking that, won't everyone be thinking the same thing too? And another thing, why would they wonder if he is gay just because he's asking his fellow rappers to stop the gay bashing?

Then again, I wonder what kind of response he's going to receive from them (the rappers). Will they too think the same as my friends or will they even want to "know" him anymore? Hmmm, obviously not earth shattering things to think about and no sweat off my back (so to speak), but I just wondered.

There are a few other musical genre that do gay bashing too. Dancehall Reggae artistes do this a lot (gay bashing in their lyrics) and until recently some of the artistes have been changing their views and also calling for an end to gay bashing especially when it leads to violence against gays.

I hope it's not just for the PC of it that they're jumping on this band wagon because it's definitely the right thing to do, humanely.
