I like a nice warm bath. A nice warm bath with lots of bubbles. A nice warm bath with lots of bubbles that smell really good. A nice warm bath with lots of bubbles that smell really, really good! Har, har…let me stop!

No really I do enjoy a nice bath. And especially when I take a nice warm, delicious smelling bath with my other half….well, need I say more?!

However, I really, really, really, LOVE to take showers!

A nice, long, warm, spa-like shower. It gives me time to reflect, invigorates me, revives my tired body and gives me the jump start I need in the mornings!

A spa-shower for me is when I treat myself and pretend I’m at an actual Spa with someone else doing those nice delicious things for me, like a body scrub, facial, getting rid of unwanted body hair, washing my hair, etc.

It’s the place I go when I want to get away from the noise and demands of my kids and my husband. Sometimes I even invite him in with me when I’m feeling playfully frisky!LoL!

I LOVE taking showers because it’s my time to unwind and reflect on my thoughts and the things I need to get done. I also use that time to meditate and to pray. (when you have a four year old who has to be involved in everything you do, then you can question that last part).

Shower vs Bath, for me showers have it! It’s the best thing!

Which do you prefer and why?

Baths for me. There is no such thing as relaxing in the shower. I always say my bath is the only time I ever get to myself and that's why I'm always so clean.

Shower.  I like getting in, washing and getting out.

Shower all the way. It can be quick, or it can be slow. Baths almost always take too long.

And then you're sitting there in the stuff you're trying to wash off. Ick.

I think more men shower than women. For one thing I hate to shave my legs in the shower - it sucks. Plus I can't read a magazine or a book in the shower. Like I said for me its as much about relaxation as it is about getting clean. I have a bath ritual.

It depends on how you take the shower. See for me it's a spa-shower, relaxing, exhilarating....having the water beat on my back like a nice massage..yep...nice!

You're one of those 2 mins bather uh?! My brother spends a long time in the shower. I'm talking probably 30mins! As kids we made sure to get in there before he did! Don't even mention the water bill!

That's me when I'm in a hurry. My husband can do it in five or less!

I always feel cleaner after a shower. I take showers everyday, but a nice hot bubble bath can be a real treat. I agree it is kindof gross to bath in what you are washing off, but baths for me are not just for cleansing. They are for relaxing. Especially on cold winter nights. But I would have to say still that showers are the way to go on a daily basis.

Bubble baths are nice, no argument there! My youngest likes to take bubble baths with all of her water toys. That frees me up for a little bit. She loves taking showers though with me. We make it fun too but when I want to be alone I just lock the bathroom door and tell her mommy needs alone time.

Showers are definately good on a daily basis.

Close.  Usually 5 minutes.  And like Pseudosoldier, says, I am trying to get the ick off me!  Not sit in it.

I get bad cases of "Restless Leg Syndrome", I mean to the point where my whole body goes gets hit with the wave. One of the few things that stops the spasms is a really hot bath. I just wish I had a bigger tub!!

The thing is though, when I'm done soaking in the hot soapy water, I always feel the need to shower. I'm not sure why since I've had apartments that didn't have showers (bath only) and of course, thanks to the Army, my record without bath or shower was 2 1/2 weeks. ;~D

Both of us putting out a hygiene related article on the same day? Sick Minds to think alike! ;~D

I might be interested in taking a bath one day if I can ever find a tub that is over 6 feet long. As it stands now, half of my body would have to be out of the water, either my torso or my legs.

I love all my body parts equally and don't want to discriminate

I'm utilitarian about everything. I think showers on the whole are cleaner, but I don't think you do as good a job cleaning if that makes any sense. The fact that you are soaking your feet and legs and *cough* other stuff I think are pros in the bath column since it helps lift off dead skin and such, but then every time I take a bath I feel filmy and have to shower a bit to get the soap off anyway.

Wow, that was about at metrosexual as I get... *shiver*...

I'm not sure if you're pulling my leg or not! I never heard of that!

Me too! That's why I prefer showers!

! You're funny too!! I can just visualise your legs hanging over the tub too!

Yes, showers are cleaner (in my humble opinion!). But you can "cough" scrub your other parts quite as clean while showering! With all those fancy stuff they have on the shelf.........

Wow, that was about at metrosexual as I get... *shiver*...

Hahaha......Baker with metrosexual tendencies....I'm loving it!

My husband has this exact same thing! Don't you run marathons? OR am I thinking about someone else?

He gets RLS so bad the DR had to put him on a low dose of anti-seizure medicine. It's really low dose, and only works sometimes.

I will tell him about the bath thing though....thanks.
