I like a nice warm bath. A nice warm bath with lots of bubbles. A nice warm bath with lots of bubbles that smell really good. A nice warm bath with lots of bubbles that smell really, really good! Har, har…let me stop!

No really I do enjoy a nice bath. And especially when I take a nice warm, delicious smelling bath with my other half….well, need I say more?!

However, I really, really, really, LOVE to take showers!

A nice, long, warm, spa-like shower. It gives me time to reflect, invigorates me, revives my tired body and gives me the jump start I need in the mornings!

A spa-shower for me is when I treat myself and pretend I’m at an actual Spa with someone else doing those nice delicious things for me, like a body scrub, facial, getting rid of unwanted body hair, washing my hair, etc.

It’s the place I go when I want to get away from the noise and demands of my kids and my husband. Sometimes I even invite him in with me when I’m feeling playfully frisky!LoL!

I LOVE taking showers because it’s my time to unwind and reflect on my thoughts and the things I need to get done. I also use that time to meditate and to pray. (when you have a four year old who has to be involved in everything you do, then you can question that last part).

Shower vs Bath, for me showers have it! It’s the best thing!

Which do you prefer and why?

MY idea of heaven, among others..., is a shower to wash away the grime of living, then sink into a tub filled with perfumed oil, or perfumed bubbles, with candles slowly burning and music inthe background.

This sounds so delicious! I wanna do it too!! Nice visual Trudy!

Morning calls for a quick shower to get the muscles and joints moving again with the sting ofvery warm water on the back.

I love doing this! It wakes me up believe me!

Hot baths. Hot. Hot. baths....If jazz music, candles, sex, chocolate or dr. pepper are involved, so much the better.

Spc, this sounds yummy too, especially the chocolate part!

And occasionaly, although it's sheer torture, ice cold baths immediately after a particularly long run or race. They suck, but it takes away all that inflammation causing residual soreness that sometimes lingers for a couple of days.

I've done this on a few occasion, not for pain specifically but it does invigorate you!

When you want to get grease and dirt off of a pot, do you rinse it, or soak it?

! Funny! But what a comparison!

P.S. I'm the marathoner. At least when I'm back in condition. Still working on it.

Good luck to you! I admire people who do this. Did you read Cordelia's blog on how her marathon run went? She's so descriptive, it's a fun read!

I like Japanese style. You shower up first and clean yourself, then settle into the bath for a nice, hot soak. I have a... shower room? Bathtub and shower are in a separate tiled room. Pretty standard for over here. You get a little stool to sit on, scrub off, rinse off, then soak.

I've only seen this on television momijiki. It's quite a ritual isn't it? I like the idea though, of washing first then going in for a soak. That way makes a lot of sense to me!

If you go to a public bath and do the soak first, you get the most evil glares.

Hahaha, I heard about that too! I guess they don't think this way is very pleasant!

I guess I am a combo girl.

OK with me combo girl!

So I understand. I'm sorry if I sounded too flippant about it!FS, be as flippant as you wanna be! I joke about it all the time! ;

Thanks Ted! It's nice you can laugh about it. It's nice when you're comfortable enough with yourself to allow this. More kudos to you!

The other day my GF and I were running late, so I took a shower in 5 minutes. I got out and as I was drying off I ran my hands over my wet hair to slick it back, and my hands was full of suds. I was in such a hurry I forget to wash the shampoo out of my hair. No more quick showers for me.

Hahahaha....UDigit, that's funny,! My husband can shower in 5mins flat too! Men win hands down on this one!

I take baths at night when I need to relax. There's something about soaking in hot scented water after a long day...I always sleep better after I take a bath.

This is good Dharma. It's nice to be able to do this and I know what you mean. I like giving my daughter a bubble bath at nights, (she demands it) and she always go right to sleep afterwards.

Five minutes or less?? I hope for your sake you're talking about showers, FS

Showers Udigit...showers!! I always demand my time......wink, wink!

love having sex in the shower, too. And when I'm not by myself and my GF joins me that's even better.

Your repartee is just too good!

Thinking about (most) american's habits, they seem more akin to the Japanese than Europeans (Cleanliness wise). You should see my wife. I shower once a day, and sometimes she still fusses at me!

We like to be clean Doc, at least most of us do!

Did you know that during the majority of shower time, most men face TOWARD the shower head, while most women face AWAY from it? Don't know why that is...

Really? My hubby and I are the opposite with this. I face it, he faces away from it! Interesting facts Rose!

Also, women do more thinking in the shower than men...most men just wanna complete the task and get out of there!

This I totally agree with! I do a lot of my thinking there too!
