“I’m so grateful to be recognized by such a prestigious organization. To be recognized and acknowledged by my peers!
Finally after getting so many emails, finally I give you the long awaited response! I have to thank my parents who are no longer with me but who taught me the wonderful gift of reading and loving books.
To my brothers and sisters who shared many trips with me to the library and spend many times reading and having fun with books.
To my children who allowed me to read them stories and my poetry and to sing in my squeaky voice to them since they were yay high; because they couldn’t tell mommy to zip it they laid in my arms and listened with perplexed baby joy! Thank you my little dumplins!
To my hubby who has been my sweetheart for so many years…I love you honey….I wouldn’t have been able to do all this without you. I’ll give you a big wet one when I see ya!
To my friends who supported me and totally had no idea that I could write….thank you!
And last but not least to this wonderful Poetry.com mailing list…without you I’d be nothing! I wouldn’t know that my poems would be published for so many times and I have yet to see a penny. I’m so rich and so blessed from the riches you bestow on me. And now you’ve selected me, ME to get your lovely pin, and all I have to do is pay a paltry $19.95 plus shipping and handing to receive it…..sniff…(blows nose)….how gallant of you dear Poetry.com!
My life will never be the same and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for always thinking about me and clogging up my email box with such wonderful emails such as this”…….(dumps email and swears quite sweetly at the head of Howard Ely….dreaming of a voodoo doll to push pins in so he can feel the pain).
Here's the illustrous email I received. Unfortunately, I just cut and paste so you won't see the picture of the ribbon pin.
