Did you know that the United States were up against Mexico for the Gold Cup this past weekend? Did you know that they won? Apparently not too many people do. At least those who are NOT soccer fans! To even get airtime on regular television station, even ESPN sucks! For the championship games over the last couple of months, we have had to tune in to Telemundo, Channel 47 and the broadcast is in Spanish. It's a good thing the sport of football (Soccer) is universal otherwise I would b...

I was clueless to the fact that there are myths (and possibly legends) where the Super Bowl is concerned. I guess the sport being such a popular and loved past time there would somehow be stories making the rounds! Bill Briggs an MSNBC contributor wrote an article entitled Super Bull ! on msnbc.msn.com[/ . He wrote: " fishy blitz of football fibs and big-bucks blarney that gets recited and rehashed like corny campfire fables. You've heard them. You've believe...

Unfortunately they weren't able to beat Ghana. I didn't see the game. But I got the report on the Web from the link below. They mentioned that a lot of American fans were there to support them. I think that's great! Too bad they couldn't celebrate by advancing to the quarterfinals. The penalty shot by Ghana was their undoing it seemed. Ah well...better luck next time around guys. Link

You might not be a Soccer fan, if you’re amongst the few who aren’t; you have to admit there’s something about the sport that is exciting. I’ve not had the chance to watch all of the games, but I’ve seen a few of them. Even if you don’t follow any of the games, just to watch one is exciting. Watching those men play with such artistic skill is beautiful. [My little one and I even ended up playing soccer in the living room (it was raining outside and she was bored – nothing broken!L...

There probably is a lot of blogs on this already [I didn't check yet] but I'm so excited about this. I've always loved football ever since I could walk and knew that I loved it! I'm talking Soccer as it's called by my fellow Americans. As a girl growing up on the Island of Jamaica, football is up there as a national past time, with Cricket being our number one sport. My brothers were pretty much into sports with my older brother being captain of his football team and also played Rugby a...

I couldn't beleive this when I read it.... Link A petition for Jake Plummer to re-grow his moustache?! You should read some of the comments left by people who actually signed the petition too.....talk about a looney bunch with nothing to do! Now instead of "save the whales" or some other environmental cause or any other worthwhile cause it's "Jake Plummer regrow your moustache!"
