(Note: I tried posting this before, so it may appear twice) I recently found a couple of websites where people, who work in the food industry, namely, waiters, waitresses, busboys, etc., vent their frustrations. Pretty much what most of us do here at JU. They go to these websites to vent their rage at customers who gave them a hard time or stiffed them on their tips. We’re talking therapy thank God. The rule of thumb when eating out is to be weary of the Waiter/Waitress you argue or ...

I like Paul McCartney, I really do. But the Super Bowl half time show was not at all exciting to me last night. Where was the big splash? The entourage of celebrities and their dancers? The fantastic dance moves? There’s no, “did you see the half-time show last night?” with the hint of having seen something really fantastic worth talking about the morning after. Darn FCC, I don’t have to see nipples, or malfunctioned costume. I just wanted to be entertained. OK, so the fire wo...
This is especially for Cordelia and M-Post who tried to answer the question: Link The answer is Post It. Sorry guys, I almost left you hanging and that would have been a sticky mess! (get it?) Ok, so I suck at telling jokes. Ah well, guess I better not post it anymore!! Ok, I'm done, really....
Someone sent me an email with this job description for mothers. I thought it was funny but a fitting description. Perhaps some of us wouldn't have accepted it if we had the responsibilities spelt out to us beforehand! Lol! However, despite the trials and sometimes being unappreciated, it's the best job in the world! Here's to all you moms out there! Mom Job Description[/B ] Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Can...

You know, I’m all for freedom of anything, and of course as long as it’s not against the law. I just read an article from TV News that the Christian Conservative groups are saying that Sponge Bob, Barney and some other children characters are gay. (See link below) A video has been released with the characters singing a song “We Are Family”. The group claims the characters are being exploited to support the acceptance of homosexuality. All because of a pledge asking for tolerance of peo...
I haven't seen any threads on 24 yet, if there are, sorry to hijack. But I kept forgetting to post something about 24, one of my “must watch” television series on Fox. It’s been really, really exciting and I’m always on the edge of my seat when I’m watching it. The plot is still racy and takes you on a roller coaster ride each week. I can’t wait for next week’s episode. The Ex-President Palmer, played by Dennis Haysbert, one of my favorite actors, will return in the last six episodes. ...
When I first heard JLO's new single, Get Right, I was watching Making the Video on MTV with my teenager, and I said to her, "Doesn't that sound familiar to you?" She couldnt place it. I kept saying to myself everytime I heard it, it's so familiar, I've heard it before. At first I kept thinking it was one of Beyonce's music. But it's not. It's Usher's. Here's a link to that effect. Link I'm glad I'm not crazy!
Someone sent me this link. Link I guess it depends on how you look at life. But there could be something to it.

I’m just asking…. Why do people get offended by God? What is it that makes people so angry? Are we supposed to forget that this world was created by Him? That he does exist? What is it about Faith that is so scary? Why is it so hard to embrace? Should we forget that He’s the reason why we celebrate life? That Jesus gave his life for ours? So what if you didn’t ask him to Most people believe in a Higher Power, whatever that may be But doesn’t it All lead to Him? God forbid that o...
Here's a question I heard on a news program and didn't get the answer right. I thought it would be interesting to see who would be able to guess the answer correctly. What was invented in the 1980's, that is square and still around? Hint: It's a very useful item.(Note: I changed the heading (and the word created to invented) to see if there would be more guesses)
In today’s world etiquette is so important. I remembered when I was pregnant with my third child; I lived in NY at the time and had to take the bus and Subway to work. I had a hard time getting a seat on either bus or train. There I would be, “pushing” down the aisle, at rush hour. As soon as they see me, the men would look in the other direction or just close their eyes. At the timeI would just laugh to myself in disgust at this type of response. It usually didn’t bother me really. A...
J….U….server…..s….o…...…s….l….o….w….............t…o…d…a…y…. At least for me. Geech, I’m falling asleep trying to access the site today. Is anyone having the same problem? I guess there must be so many people accessing it today. Just moving from one page to the next is like having cement on your feet. I'm not sure if this should be a forum report or not?
